First entry of the year

Hello! It’s been a long time since I’ve blogged. Came home finding Zhou Jie cooking salmon and soup!! It was awesome… though, we both admit that it was too salty! Haha, the life living on your own. You’ve got to cook, settle the cleanliness of the house on your own, and everything!

Anyway, had CG today! And it was great! The girls are amazing. Have never met young people who are so confident and bold in their sharing and loving the Presence of God. Today’s word really encouraged all of us, even myself, that we really should not grow weary while doing good, for we will reap in due season!

I think that for the past week, I’ve really learned that I need to be grateful for the things in my life and one of the things that I know I can be grateful for is for my Pastors and for HoGC. And when I say this, I’m not being naive, neither am I just saying it for the sake of it. But if you think about it, you really do have to grateful for what you have in church, especially in Heart of God Church.

I was just talking to Wei Ling the other day and we said that every new person that enters in Heart of God church and gets planted are so blessed. They’ve got great equipments, so many platforms in which many skills and many opportunities are provided for everyone to find a place in, and to reach their destinies in God. Heart of God Church today has grown so big today, but Pastors still constantly find a place for people to serve that they may grow in God and progress towards their destiny in God.

A lot of times we neglect that… and take what we have for granted. But sometimes, we just need to look beyond that, and realize that behind all that we have, behind the equipment, behind the fun… is a lot of hard work, sweat and tears, a lot of discouraged changed to faith… a lot of believe and prayers made for the generations that were not seen then, but now coming to pass.

As a family, as a church, we need to be grateful. And today, I’m grateful for all that my Pastors and leaders have done in me and believed in me till today. For all the opportunities that I was given to serve because they’ve believed.

Today, I’m thankful. Thank you Pastors, Dom, Charleston, Lynette, Garrett, and Fifi for believing in me. Thank you for the friends in the CG who has made me feel at home! I’m home because of all of you!

Signing off!!

Love,
Joyce!
